On October 26, 2024, FCY New York traveled to Pittsburgh, PA, to compete against the Pittsburgh Dynamo at Highmark Stadium. Following a recent away win in Rochester, N.Y., FCYNY led by coach Alen Jusic, controlled much of the possession and created multiple scoring chances but encountered a disciplined and well-coordinated Dynamo defense. The match was ultimately decided by Freddy Fikiri’s clutch goal in stoppage time (90th +2 minute), securing a 1-0 win. FCY New York will next head to Boston to face CD Faialense in the final match. A win qualifies FCY New York for the 2025 US Open Cup.
